Maintenance
Your website stays online. Your app stays in the stores.
Nothing is compulsory. You pay for the website or the app once, and it is yours. If you want someone to watch it, update it and fix it, here are three packages, at a written price, cancellable every year.
Three words, one definition each
What the words mean here
A job
A request, sent by email, that I can do in thirty minutes for a website and one hour for an app: change a price, opening hours, a photo, a text you provide, publish a ready-made article. Anything beyond that is quoted before, never after. A job not used within the month is lost: it does not carry over.
The response time
The time between your email and my first written reply. It counts in working hours and working days: Monday to Friday, 8.30 am to 5.30 pm, excluding Bernese public holidays. An email sent on Saturday is read on Monday.
Outside the package
Anything not on your package’s list. I tell you by email, with a price and a deadline, and I touch nothing until you have replied “agreed”. Nothing is ever invoiced without that written agreement.
Websites
Three packages for a website
The domain and the hosting stay with the hosting provider, in your name. These packages cover my work only. Prices are in Swiss francs, excluding VAT.
CHF 39 / month
CHF 468 a year. The website does not change; it has to stay online, up to date and clean.
- Updates of WordPress, the theme and the extensions every week, after a backup.
- Weekly backup, off the server, kept for thirty days.
- Uptime monitoring, checked daily.
- Monthly security check.
- Repair included after an outage, an infection or an update that breaks something.
- Quarterly report, by email.
- Reply within two working days.
- No jobs.
CHF 79 / month
CHF 948 a year. The website moves a little: a price, opening hours, a photo, some news.
- Everything in Veille.
- Daily backup.
- Two jobs a month, done within two working days.
- Reply within one working day.
- Monthly report.
CHF 149 / month
CHF 1’788 a year. The website lives: new pages, seasons, offers.

- One new page per quarter, texts and photos provided by you.
- A thirty-minute call each quarter, with the visitor figures.

Three packages for an app
An app that is not maintained is removed from the stores within twelve to eighteen months: Apple and Google change their requirements every year. The developer accounts are in your name; their fees, USD 99 a year at Apple and USD 25 once at Google, remain yours to pay. “Vitrine”, “Avec comptes”, “Boutique” and “Métier” are the four app types on the Apps page.

CHF 39 for a Vitrine or an Avec comptes, CHF 59 for a Boutique or a Métier. The app stays in the stores, up to date, and it opens.
- The compulsory annual rebuild for Apple and Google, and resubmission.
- Renewal of certificates and profiles.
- Crash monitoring, with an alert.
- One fix a year included if iOS or Android breaks something.
- With a server: monitoring, security updates, weekly backup.
- Annual report after the rebuild.
- Reply within two working days.
- No jobs.
CHF 99 or 119 / month
CHF 99 for a Vitrine or an Avec comptes, CHF 119 for a Boutique or a Métier. The app keeps up: a price, a photo, a text, a notification.
- Everything in Publication.
- One job a month, delivered to the stores within five working days.
- One push notification a month, written and sent, on request.
- Unlimited fixes after an iOS or Android update.
- Reply within one working day.
CHF 199 or 239 / month
CHF 199 for a Vitrine or an Avec comptes, CHF 239 for a Boutique or a Métier. The app grows.
- Everything in Retouches.
- Two jobs a month.
- One enhancement per quarter, up to four hours: a screen, a simple feature.
- A thirty-minute call each quarter, with the store figures.
- Reply within four working hours.
How to request a change
One channel only: email
Only a written request is a request. Phone and WhatsApp are for talking; they do not start a job. If we discuss it in person, I will say: “send it to me by email”, and that email is what counts.

You write
An email to the maintenance address, with the exact text and the files attached. One request per email.

I confirm
You receive an acknowledgement within your package’s response time, with the day it will be done. If the request exceeds one job, you receive a price before I start.

I do it
I do the work within two working days for a website, within five for an app, Apple’s review time included.

You check
An email tells you it is done, with the link. You look, and you reply if something is wrong.
The address
An address reserved for maintenance is given to you when the contract is signed. I read it every working day, at 8.30 am and at 4 pm. If you write to me at another address, or on WhatsApp, I will ask you to resend your request to this one: it is the only one that counts.
What the email must contain
- The name of the website or the app, in the subject line.
- The page or screen concerned.
- The exact text to put in, ready to copy, not “roughly this”.
- Photos as attachments, not in the body of the message.
- One request per email: two requests, two emails.

Two changes on the same website, sent together: that is one job. A third on another website: another email.

What is never part of a job
- Writing a text: you provide it, or it is a quote.
- Editing or creating a photo, a logo, an icon.
- Search engine ranking, advertising, social networks.
- A new feature: booking, payment, accounts, map.
- Repairing what you broke yourself: at the hourly rate, backup restored first.
- Apple, Google, domain and hosting fees.
These six points are written into the contract. That is what makes the prices above non-negotiable, for you as for me.
The contract
Four rules, all in writing
Twelve months
The contract runs for a year, renews by itself, and is cancelled by email thirty days before it expires. No penalty, no registered letter.
Paid in advance
One QR-bill a year, in francs, excluding VAT. The contract starts when the payment arrives. No monthly debit, no credit card.
In your name
The domain, the hosting and the developer accounts stay in your name. If you leave, you leave with everything, and I simply remove my access.
Nothing without written agreement
Anything beyond the package is announced by email with a price, and waits for your “agreed”. An invoice never contains a line you have not seen before.
Frequently asked questions
What people ask me about maintenance
I can edit my texts myself: what is a job for?
For what you cannot or do not want to do: a photo to crop and place, a page to lay out, an extension that refuses to update. Changing opening hours takes you two minutes: that is what the training included at delivery teaches you.
What happens without a contract?
Nothing, until the day something breaks. Your website stays online but is no longer updated; your app is removed from the stores the first spring Apple changes its requirements. I can still step in, from CHF 150 for a website and CHF 250 for an app, with no guaranteed deadline.
What if my website goes down on a Sunday?
With Veille, the monitoring alerts me, and I restore the website on Monday morning, included in the package. If you want it restored on Sunday, that is an emergency, CHF 250 per hour, and you request it by email.
Can I change package during the year?
Moving to a fuller package: at any time, the difference is invoiced for the remaining months. Moving back to a simpler package: at the annual renewal.
Two jobs a month, isn’t that few?
That is twenty-four a year, for a website that was delivered complete. Businesses that need more usually need a new page every quarter: that is the Évolutions package, and it was cut for exactly that.
